Rifle Sling and Pack Attachment System Setup Instructions
Step 1: Attaching the Sling to Your Rifle
Install the Swivels – Ensure the included swivels are securely attached to the sling.
Thread the Swivels – Open the one-inch triglides on both ends of the sling, install the swivels, and thread back through the triglide for a secure fit.
Adjust for Fit – Position the sling to match your shoulder comfort level and adjust accordingly. If the upper attachment interferes with the buckle, flip the sling over and reattach.
Step 2: Using the Sling as a Standalone
Attach to Rifle Swivel Studs – Secure the swivels onto the rifle’s built-in swivel studs.
Center the Quick-Adjust Feature – Align the adjustment slider within the sling webbing to maintain ease of access.
Fine-Tune – Adjust the sling length to accommodate your height and the rifle’s weight distribution.
Step 3: Attaching the Sling to Your Pack
Install the Quick-Attach Buckle – Position the female buckle on the upper portion of the sling, adjusting placement for comfort.
Thread the Buckle – Insert the long strap first, followed by the short wing, ensuring it locks securely in place.
Attach Upper Strap to Pack – Select a suitable attachment point on your pack’s webbing and fasten the upper strap.
Attach Lower Strap to Pack – Secure the lower strap below the rifle’s heel drop, ensuring webbing is against the rifle to prevent scratches.
Step 4: Securing the Rifle to the Pack
Lay Out Your Pack and Rifle – Set your pack on its side and position the rifle where you want it to sit.
Fasten the Upper Strap – Attach the upper strap to your selected pack attachment point or loop it around the rifle for added security.
Fasten the Lower Strap – Tighten the lower strap to hold the rifle securely, preventing movement during transport.
Step 5: Adjusting for Comfort
Test with a Loaded Pack – Adjust the sling and pack attachment while carrying a fully loaded pack to ensure a proper fit.
Fine-Tune Adjustments – Modify strap lengths and attachment points based on your gear setup, body type, and preferred rifle position.
Secure with a Keeper Clip (Optional) – Attach the keeper clip to a one-inch webbing loop on your shoulder strap for added stability.
Step 6: Dismounting Your Rifle
Release the Lower Buckle First – This keeps the rifle secure while beginning the removal process.
Unclip the Upper Buckle – Once detached, the rifle will only be held by the keeper clip.
Remove the Keeper Clip – Slide the sling free and re-sling for immediate use.
Final Tips & Adjustments
Customization – Experiment with different attachment points to find the most comfortable and efficient carry position.
Balance – Consider any additional rifle attachments, such as bipods, that may shift the center of gravity and adjust accordingly.
Periodic Adjustments – Make necessary changes if your pack weight varies due to game meat hauling or bivvy camping setups.
