Hydration Pack Setup Instructions
Step 1: Attaching the Hydration Pack
The FHF Hydration Pack can be attached in several ways, depending on your setup:
Option 1: Using as a Standalone Hydration Pack
- Attach the shoulder straps to the hydration pack using the integrated loops.
- Adjust the sternum strap to fit comfortably across your chest.
- Secure the hydration tube using the built-in holder for easy access.
Option 2: Attaching to the Apex Belt
- Remove the shoulder straps from the hydration pack.
- Use the attachment straps to secure the hydration pack directly to the Apex Belt’s MOLLE system.
- Adjust the fit and tightness as needed for comfort.
- Use the hydration tube holder to keep your hydration hose accessible.
This setup is great for quick, lightweight carry when you don’t need a full pack but still want hydration and extra storage.
Option 3: Piggybacking onto a Western-Style Frame Pack
- Use the included straps to attach the hydration pack directly to the back of your larger pack.
- Tighten the adjustable straps for a secure fit.
- This setup allows you to carry a full load into camp, then detach the hydration pack as a summit/day pack for shorter hunts.
Step 2: Adding Accessories
- Blaze Panel (Optional Accessory) – Attach this to the back of the hydration pack to compress a load or store an extra layer. The panel is reversible from blaze orange to brown.
- MOLLE Attachments – Add an E4 pouch or other accessories to the laser-cut MOLLE on the front for additional storage.
Step 3: Integrating with Other FHF Foundation Pieces
For the ultimate modular system, you can integrate the hydration pack with the Apex Belt, Chest Rig, and other FHF foundation pieces:
- Attaching to the Airframe – Remove the shoulder straps and attach the pack directly to the tabs on the back of the FOB or Airframe. This setup is ideal for spot-and-stalk hunts.
- Building a Complete Loadout – Combine the hydration pack, chest rig, and Apex Belt to create a fully integrated, customizable system—perfect for hunting, fishing, or tactical use.
This system is versatile, lightweight, and highly customizable. Whether you’re using it for turkey hunting, deer hunting, fishing, or quick day trips, the FHF Hydration Pack adapts to your needs.
