Equipment Lanyard Overview and SetupUpdated 23 days ago
The FHF Gear Equipment Lanyard is designed to provide a secure and adjustable tether for your essential gear, including GPS devices, rangefinders, and other equipment. Available in both short and long versions, this lanyard features a quick disconnect system for fast and easy access while ensuring your gear stays attached and protected.
Each lanyard includes an extra-long nano cord tether, allowing for a custom fit based on your specific setup. Whether you’re securing a GPS with an antenna or a rangefinder, this lanyard offers versatility and adaptability for any situation.
How to Set Up & Adjust the Equipment Lanyard
Attaching to Your Device
- Locate the longer nano cord tether attached to the female buckle of the quick disconnect.
- Loop the nano cord through the attachment point on your GPS, rangefinder, or other device.
- Secure the loop by threading the end back through and tightening.
Adjusting the Lanyard for Rangefinders
For rangefinders, a shorter attachment is recommended to minimize excess cord inside the pouch. To shorten the tether:
- Undo the quick disconnect buckle and gently slide the knot out.
- Insert a finger through the loop to prevent it from pulling through the female buckle.
- Tie a simple overhand knot at your desired length and tighten it down.
- Trim the excess nano cord with scissors.
- Use a lighter to carefully burn the cut end, sealing it to prevent fraying.
- Reattach the knot into the female buckle, ensuring it locks securely in place.
